Three Big Weeks: Three Big Races and a Crawfish Boil...

APRIL has become Triathlon's busiest month of the year... Gateway Tri in Kemah with a Boat start and cushy mat from water to transion, the MS-150, the NO 70.3 and Galveston yet to come... Chad gives the Gateway Tri two thumbs up...

...And to top it all off, a Crawfish Boil sponsored by the club and organized by Patty and Tessy with Kevin Godfrey (in the background) and company cooking up some magic...

Time to Hit the Road: Lot's of BIG races this April...

FINALLY...finally it is warming up. Having ridden the routes around Pecan Grove/Fulshear for 19 years now, I do not remember having cold petudies (feet) in March before this year. Swimming is another matter yet...

Lots of BIG races this month...Gateway, Lonestar and New Orleans...big numbers from our club at each. See club schedule below. Gateway and Lonestar have multiple distances, so you can still probably still sign up if you are so inclined (and you have been training indoors.) Watch for pix and results...

Don't forget the Annual Crawfish Boil for our membership and sponsors on April 11 4-8pm. Members will receive details via email.

KEEP SWIMMING, BIKING AND RUNNING...

2010 Season Is Here...

SUGAR LAND (January 31)--Fort Bend triathletes aren't waiting for any formal announcements of registration or races...they are already on the road for 2010. With two nashpopular April Half Ironman 70.3 races in our area/region plus other sprint and olympic distances that month, folks have started training...in their woolies but training.

In order to be eligible for the considerable discounts we receive from our sponsors in equipment, clothes and general triathlon stuff besides special considerations in insurance and medical care YOU MUST REGISTER FOR 2010 WHETHER YOU HAVE BEEN A MEMBER IN THE PAST OR NOT. A link to a registration form will magically appear later this week on this page and on the discussion forum.

Watch for announcement of an upcoming Season Opening Meeting, mostly to orient logoeveryone to the club and discuss the new season. And what would a new season be without a party...watch for both those announcements.

4/18/2010--The second annual Ironman New Orleans 70.3...with over 13 TriPsy members signed up...

4/25/2010--The Lonestar Triathlon weekend at Moody Gardens in Galveston has been very popular with club members since its inception a few of years ago...and now it is an official Ironman 70.3 race...the mark of excellence..

So stay tuned and watch the discussion board and facebook for announcements...If you have any questions about the website or operations, please email me at patty@firsttri.org. Welcome to the 2010 season.
